Vic's on the River is seeking professional, energetic, and hospitality-driven Banquet Servers to join our Events Team. You will play a key role in weddings, rehearsals, corporate events, private celebrations, and other occasions in Savannah.

Our team values attention to detail, teamwork, professionalism, anticipation of guest needs, and genuine Southern hospitality. Ideal candidates have prior banquet or fine-dining experience, a professional appearance, and strong guest-service skills.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, banquet, catering, or fine-dining experience preferred.
• Professional and polished appearance.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, attentive service during weddings, corporate events, private dinners, receptions, and other events.
• Assist with event setup including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, silverware and details.
• Ensure spaces are set according to Vic's standards and event specs.
• Welcome guests warmly and provide polished service throughout the event.
• Serve plated meals, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other items per standards.
• Follow fine-dining service techniques and proper table service.
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs during events.
• Clear tables efficiently while maintaining event atmosphere.
• Communicate with Banquet Managers, Coordinators, Culinary Team, Bar staff, and servers.
• Assist with resetting, breakdown, and cleanup after events.
• Maintain clean banquet rooms, service areas, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and company policies.

Our banquet servers play an important role in creating memorable weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, private celebrations, and special occasions in our private event spaces overlooking Savannah's historic River Street and the Savannah River.

We are looking for individuals who understand that exceptional banquet service is about more than delivering food. It requires attention to detail, teamwork, professionalism, anticipation of guest needs, and genuine Southern hospitality.

Responsibilities:

As a Banquet Server, you will:

• Provide professional, attentive service during weddings, corporate events, private dinners, receptions, and other special events.
• Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, silverware, and other event details.
• Ensure tables and event spaces are properly set according to Vic's standards and the event specifications.
• Welcome guests warmly and provide polished, professional service throughout the event.
• Serve plated meals, hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and other menu items according to established service standards.
• Follow proper fine-dining service techniques, including correct food presentation and table service.
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout the event.
• Clear tables efficiently and professionally while maintaining the atmosphere of the event.
• Communicate effectively with Banquet Managers, Coordinators, Culinary Team, Bartenders, and fellow servers.
• Assist with resetting, breakdown, and cleanup following events.
• Maintain clean and organized banquet rooms, service areas, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety, alcohol service, uniform, and company policies.
• Help ensure every event reflects the level of hospitality and attention to detail expected at Vic's on the River.

What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous restaurant, banquet, catering, or fine-dining experience; banquet experience is preferred.
• Have a professional and polished appearance.

Physical Requirements:

Banquet Servers must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Carry trays, plates, glassware, and other banquet service items safely.
• Lift and carry up to approximately 30-40 pounds as needed.
• Bend, reach, lift, and assist with event setup and breakdown.
• Work in a fast-paced environment that may include stairs and multiple event spaces.
