Job summary

DKN Hotels in California seeks a courteous banquet server to provide friendly guest service in our banquet rooms and event spaces. You will assist with meal setup, serve food and beverages, and help maintain cleanliness to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and health codes.

You'll work with team members across departments, report equipment issues, and support management to deliver the Home Away From Home experience for our guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests and team members.

• Assist other team members and departments to support overall performance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Adhere to food safety requirements.


• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of banquet facilities to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and all health codes at all times.


• Report any missing/found articles or any equipment/property damage to the housekeeping supervisor.


• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.


• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Independent Judgment Used :

Working Conditions/Environment :

Banquet rooms, banquet equipment and materials, and kitchen including commercial.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience :

Minimum of one (1) year or related experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements :

• Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged walking and standing. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
