Job summary

DKN Hotels in San Bernardino, CA is seeking an Entry level housekeeping associate to clean guest rooms and public areas. Responsibilities include bed making, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, and maintaining cleanliness to DKN Hotels’ standards.

The role requires basic cleaning skills, dependability, and ability to communicate in English with guests and staff. Prior experience is preferred but not required; shift-based schedule and hotel-specific policies apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Clean guest rooms to DKN Hotels’ standards including but not limited to: making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, etc.
• Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.
• Follow DKN Hotels’ policy for room amenities.
• Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager immediately.
• Maintain complete security of master room key. Return the key at the end of shift.
• Never leave the property with key.
• Report any maintenance items that need immediate attention.
• Assist with laundry as needed.
• Report any missing/found articles or damage to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Level: Entry, Job Location: HSB - San Bernardino, CA 92408, Salary Range: $16.90 - $17.00 Hourly, Responsible for cleaning rooms, hallways and other areas as assigned and complying with DKN Hotels’ standards.

Working Conditions/Environment

• Interior of guestrooms, hallways and storage rooms.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently walking indoors and outdoors, climbing stairs.
• Repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, lifting and carrying.
• Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
• Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 20 lbs.
• Exposure to cleaning agents.
