Job summary

DKN Hotel Group is seeking an Experienced Banquet Assistant for Seasonal work at our San Bernardino area venue. You will greet guests, assist with meal setup, serve food and beverages, and help maintain banquet facilities to high standards.

The role requires strong communication in English, ability to stand/walk long periods, and the flexibility to perform additional duties as needed. Compensation is hourly, with a typical pay rate of $16.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience preferred.
• High School education required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Assist with meal setup and set or pre-set tables in banquet room as assigned.
• Complete all side-work (filling condiment containers, rolling silverware, stocking stations).
• Professionally serve food and beverages and monitor guests’ experience for satisfaction.
• Adhere to food safety requirements and health codes.
• Report any missing/found articles or damage to housekeeping supervisor.
• Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience and assist other departments as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.

• Professionally serve food and beverages, check-in with and monitor guests’ experience throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to food safety requirements.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of banquet facilities to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and all health codes at all times.
• Report any missing/found articles or any equipment/property damage to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of one (1) year or related experience preferred.
