Job summary

OLDHAM GOODWIN PAYROLL LLC is seeking a guest-focused hotel team member to support events, move tables and AV equipment, and ensure smooth function-room operations.

Experience in hospitality or food service is a plus. You will lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance. The role requires a friendly, outgoing attitude and strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Move tables, chairs and audio-visual equipment in and out of meeting rooms.
• Set-up and attend certain events with a positive attitude to ensure each group function runs smoothly.
• Clean tables, chairs and carpets in function space.
• Maintain, organize and inventory banquet equipment.
• Assist with catering function for events and/or assist kitchen with supplies, set-up, maintenance, cleanliness of areas and perform any other duties as assigned.
• Lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs. regularly. Lift, carry or otherwise move up to 100 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
• Follow proper moving and lifting procedures. Regularly required to stand; sit; walk; reach; use hands handle or feel; talk and hear.
• Be very knowledgeable of Marriott Rewards program and promotions
• Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, and amenities of the hotel
• Be knowledgeable of the local area, including: shopping, entertainment, and dining
• Complete any other related task given by manager
• We are willing to train people who are motivated and committed to the success of our team. Previous hotel experience is not necessary; however, food service and food handling experience is a plus.

Keep all food and alcohol items stocked, organized, and maintained during evening reception

Maintain organization and food safety standards of all food storage areas

Promptly, effectively, and empathetically assist with guest requests
