Job summary

You will set up banquet rooms, serve courses and beverages, and ensure attentive, courteous service from arrival to completion of the event.

In this role, strong communication, physical stamina, and a customer-focused attitude are essential as you coordinate with kitchen and event staff to meet high standards of hospitality

Qualifications

  • Minimum: previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare banquet rooms by setting tables, arranging chairs, and ensuring all necessary service items are in place according to event specifications.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously to guests during events, following proper serving protocols and safety standards.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including cleaning and resetting rooms after service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to coordinate timing and delivery of menu items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests professionally, addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience.

About the Role:

The Banquet Server plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and functions within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for setting up banquet rooms, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests receive attentive and courteous service throughout the event. The Banquet Server collaborates closely with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and other service team members to maintain smooth operations and uphold high standards of hospitality. Attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate guest needs are essential to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Ultimately, the Banquet Server contributes significantly to the success of events by providing efficient, friendly, and seamless service that enhances guest satisfaction.
