Job summary

Valor Hospitality seeks an attentive Banquet Server to ensure guests have an exceptional dining and meeting experience at our Huntsville property. You will be responsible for attentive service, setting up tables, and maintaining a clean, organized station throughout each shift.

The role requires knowledge of menus, prompt guest interaction, and adherence to service standards. We offer competitive pay and a range of team benefits including discounts and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months experience in a food/beverage services environment.
• Vision to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer printouts, and instructions.
• TIPs certification.
• Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and balance trays.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accuracy and that information is contract-compliant.
• Review BEOs at the start of each shift to confirm room setup matches contract.
• Know the menu for each function and explain major ingredients and preparation methods.
• Set tables, glassware, flatware and silverware per dining rules and specifications.
• Greet and serve guests following policies/procedures for food and beverage service.
• Keep station neat and clean while servicing guests per established policies.
• Maintain a proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guests' needs, and clearing plates.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffets or service tables.
• Follow all guest check and money-handling procedures for A-la-carte service.
• Complete assigned side work.

Be in communication with the Banquet Captain/ Lead Server in regard to any special needs. Set tables, glassware, flatware and silver ware per dining rules and specification. Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.Keep station neat and clean while servicing guest per established policies and procedures. Maintain a proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling guest’s needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. Use proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment. Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffet or other special food service tables, stations, and equipment.
