Job summary

Valor is seeking a banquet server to interact with guests and ensure they have a great dining and meeting experience on-site at Cloudland at McLemore Resort. You will be attentive to guest needs, explain menu items, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere throughout service.

Responsibilities include reviewing BEOs, setting up tables, coordinating with the Banquet Captain, and ensuring accurate service and checkout procedures. TIPs certification and prior food/beverage experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Three - Six months experience in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
• TIPs certification required.

Responsibilities

• Check server’s and house person’s BEOs to ensure that information is accurate.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift to ensure room is set as contracted.
• Know the menu for each function served and explain major ingredients and preparation methods.
• Set tables, glassware, flatware and silverware per dining rules and specification.
• Greet and serve guests following policies and procedures.
• Maintain a proper dining experience, delivering items and replenishing utensils.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffet or other tables.

Be responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
