Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for delivering superior service to both internal and external guests. This includes setting up and breaking down tables, buffet lines, stations, preparing beverages, serving food, and cleaning tables during convention functions.

1. Provide excellent guest service following the Pinnacle Way, maintaining a friendly, courteous, and genuine demeanor. Be attentive to guest and team member needs and questions.
2. Familiarize yourself with all Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. outlets, server functions, and be able to answer general questions about the property.
3. Ensure positive interactions with guests and team members to provide superior service.
4. Set tables, prepare beverages, and organize condiments.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas.
6. Collaborate with other service staff to deliver high-quality service.
7. Anticipate guest needs, ensure satisfaction, and respond promptly to complaints.
8. Process payments accurately and promptly through the POS system.
9. Assist with setup and breakdown of functions, ensuring readiness for subsequent events.
10. Coordinate with banquet and restaurant staff to enhance guest experience.
11. Monitor and restock supplies as necessary.
12. Ensure dining and service areas meet standards and are well-maintained.
13. Know the restaurant’s table/seat/station numbers, hours, setup, and dress code.
14. Serve alcohol responsibly, adhering to training and regulations to prevent excessive drinking.
15. Follow health department regulations for food handling, storage, and cleanliness.
16. Comply with all liquor regulations, including laws regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
17. Maintain cleanliness and safety of all equipment and areas.
18. Attend scheduled training programs and perform duties with attention to sanitation and safety.
19. Complete all assigned opening, closing, and side duties accurately.
20. Pass necessary tests and training to ensure effective job performance.
21. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
22. Handle difficult situations with resiliency and work harmoniously with coworkers.
23. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and management directives.
24. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying trays with multiple dishes.
• Knowledge of wine service and table etiquette.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to operate equipment like chafing dishes, warmers, and coffee urns.
• Ability to inspect and maintain assigned areas.
• Effective movement around banquet areas.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to review documentation and multitask efficiently.
