Job summary

St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, CO seeks attentive Banquet Servers to deliver luxury guest service at all banquet events. You will assist with setup, break down, and wine service while coordinating with culinary staff to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires prior customer service experience in luxury hospitality, the ability to carry multiple plates, stand long hours, and lift up to 25 lb. Weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required. Banquets/serving in a luxury hospitality setting preferred.
• Must be able to carry a tray and walk with up to 10 serving plates at a time.
• Must stand for several hours and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
• Valid TIPS/ServSafe certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to luxury service standards throughout events.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown (silverware, tables, buffets, post‑event cleanup).
• Communicate with Culinary staff to ensure timely food delivery.
• Follow service sequences and timing protocols.
• Perform wine service and verify guest ages when needed.
• Proactively address guest concerns and escalate to Banquet management as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for hard-working and enthusiastic Banquet Servers who will be responsible for providing memorable and luxurious guest service during all Banquet events.

Essential Job Functions:

• Understand the importance of, and adhere to, the Hotel’s luxury service standards.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown including, but not limited to: polishing silverware, setting tables, setting up buffets, post-event clean up, etc.
• Communicate effectively with Culinary staff to ensure timely and correct delivery of food.
• Follow appropriate service sequences and timing protocols.
• Perform wine service and request guest identification when legal drinking age is in question.
• Work proactively and professionally to ensure overall guest satisfaction, elevating any issues/concerns to the attention of Banquet management.
• Other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience required. Banquets and/or serving experience in a luxury hospitality setting highly preferred.
• Must be able to carry a tray and walk with up to 10 serving plates (or 20 dishes and silverware) at a time.
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Valid TIPS/ServSafe certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
