Job summary

The Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino is seeking a Banquet Server to present food and beverages to guests and ensure all service needs are met. You may perform bartending duties and assist with setup and teardown for meetings and events in banquet and training rooms.

Responsibilities include maintaining guest relations, following health and safety standards, operating POS systems, and supporting a fast-paced banquet environment while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One year restaurant/deli experience preferred.
• Obtain and maintain a valid WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit.
• Obtain and maintain a valid MAST certification.
• Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Demonstrate knowledge and safe handling of health & safety standards.

Job description

The Banquet Server presents food and beverages to guests. Ensures all guest needs are met, including proper service. As directed and/or assigned, perform bartending duties which may include but are not limited to mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes and measurements. Responsible for the setup and tear down of equipment for meetings and food and beverage functions in the banquet and training rooms.

• Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of Casino.
• Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Spokane Tribe Casino.
• Provide service within established policy, procedure and in accordance with event BEO.
• Present food and beverages to guests.
• Perform bartending duties as directed and/or assigned.
• Provide excellent guest service and promote positive guest relations.
• Meet deadlines as needed.
• Stock, store and care for all banquet equipment.
• Assist in the washing and stocking glassware and utensils as needed.
• Clean banquet and storage areas as needed.
• Ensure banquet areas are clean and restocked.

• Create, maintain and facilitate a positive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
