Hotel Du Pont in Wilmington, DE seeks a Pastry Cook to join our Bake Shop team. You will support daily production for retail and banquet desserts, breads, and pastries, and help create decorative cakes and specialty pastries.

This role reports to the Pastry Chef and offers the opportunity to contribute to recipe development while maintaining high standards of flavor and presentation. You should be able to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Formación

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Team player prepared to pitch in and help coworkers.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts up to 150 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Daily bake-offs for retail and banquet desserts, breads, and pastries, ensuring product quality and consistency.
• Filling, decorating, and finishing of cakes and specialty pastries.
• Production of sauces, custards, ice creams and garnishes by following recipes.
• Maintenance of pastry inventory and pars per requisitions from the restaurant or coffee shop.
• Plan production schedule daily and weekly to maintain freezer stock.
