Job summary

Crowne Plaza Springfield - Convention CTR is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to oversee banquet set up staff, manage service in meeting rooms, and uphold the hotel's high standards of quality.

You will schedule and train staff, review Banquet Event Orders with clients, ensure sanitation and safety, and coordinate with housekeeping for linen needs. This role requires physical activity and flexibility given 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of banquet or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of banquet/catering food and beverage services.
• Communication skills to provide information to hotel management and guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Knowledge of table settings and service ware; various equipment and set up styles.
• Ability to understand verbal English to follow supervisor and guest requests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the banquet employees; schedule, train, empower, coach and counsel, resolve problems.
• Supervise and set-up food and beverage service to meet Banquet Event Orders and procedures.
• Meet with customers to review Banquet Event Orders and resolve issues.
• Monitor sanitation of banquet areas and equipment; provide linen inventory needs.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per handbook.
• Assist other banquet personnel as needed.
