Job summary

Innisbrook Resort is seeking an On Call/Casual Banquet Supervisor in Palm Harbor, FL to oversee kitchen and dining room staff during banquet functions and ensure events run smoothly per Banquet Event Orders and client specifications.

You will verify room sets, coordinate with the Banquet Chef, and communicate with meeting planners to meet all needs. The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One to three months related banquet experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires basic computational ability and basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment and cope with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate kitchen and dining room staff for banquets.
• Check room sets and confirm quantities and timing with Banquet Chef.
• Ensure china, glassware, silverware, linen and inventory are ready for events.
• Conduct pre-function meetings and allocate staff stations.
• Communicate with the meeting planner to confirm needs and changes.
• Be aware of upcoming groups and conventions and review day‑of assignments.
• Evaluate service at random tables to ensure proper food temperature.
• Handle equipment storage and inform chef of head counts promptly.
