Job summary

Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL seeks an On Call/Casual Banquets supervisor to coordinate kitchen and dining room staff during banquet events. You will ensure events run smoothly according to Banquet Event Orders and client specifications.

Responsibilities include pre-function briefings, staff allocation, coordinating with meeting planners, managing upcoming groups, and checking food temperature. Must uphold hygiene, handle equipment properly, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience; banquet operations experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment.
• Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen and dining room workers during banquet functions.
• Check room sets prior to events; confirm quantities of food items and timing; ensure items meet BEO and client specs.
• Conduct pre-function meetings; allocate stations and staff; review banquet event orders.
• Communicate with the meeting planner to ensure needs are met and handle changes.
• Be aware of upcoming groups and conventions; review work functions and menus; complete daily admin tasks.
• Select random tables to evaluate food and service; ensure food served at proper temperatures.
• Handle proper storage of equipment and inform Chef of head counts; maintain housekeeping of function space.
