Job summary

Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee daily banquet operations at the Convention Center and NASCAR Hall Of Fame. You will ensure exceptional guest service and profitability for the catering department, coordinating with Catering Sales, Chef and Operations for event success.

The role requires leadership of large teams, payroll oversight, and strong client interaction, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 5–6 years related experience.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; Food Service equipment; and Two-way radio.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly/bi-weekly departmental meetings to discuss event menus and execution levels.
• Set banquet service level expectations per event and monitor adherence.
• Review upcoming events for staff scheduling and pre/post event prep.
• Supervise payroll, ensure payroll expenses stay within budget for each event.
• Oversee billing of service orders and present final bill to client.
• Interact with clients and guests on-site to ensure needs are met.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol standards.
