Job summary

Sodexo Live! in Orlando is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to coordinate planning, setup, service and breakdown of high-volume events at the Orange County Convention Center.

You will supervise banquet staff, manage scheduling, ensure food and service standards, and work closely with culinary and event leadership to deliver memorable experiences while maintaining safety and cost controls. This role may require nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years of banquet, catering, or hospitality management experience in a hotel, convention center, or high-volume event venue.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, preparation, set-up, service and breakdown of banquet events (breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, receptions, etc.).
• Provide day-to-day supervision to banquet staff and ensure events run smoothly and guest expectations are met.
• Support staffing scheduling and training in line with event requirements.
• Oversee setup/breakdown of banquet spaces and ensure compliance with client specifications.
• Collaborate with culinary and banquet leadership to ensure timely food and beverage service and client satisfaction.
