Job summary

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in Orlando is seeking a Banquet Chef to lead culinary operations for weddings, conferences and resort events. You will oversee production, presentation, and guest satisfaction across large-scale banquets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership in hotels, resorts, convention centers, catering operations, or hospitality venues.
• Experience managing high-volume banquet production for weddings, conferences, and catered functions.
• Experience supervising culinary teams in fast-paced food service environments.
• Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality preferred; Food Safety Manager Certification required or obtainable upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute banquet menus for weddings, conferences, corporate events, galas, receptions, and specialty functions.
• Oversee high-volume food production, large-batch cooking, buffet preparation, banquet plating, and event execution.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop banquet cooks, prep cooks, and culinary support team members.
• Coordinate banquet service timing with Banquet Captains, Catering Managers, and Food & Beverage leadership.
• Monitor inventory, food cost, and labor to ensure quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction across multiple events.
