Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking an Assistant Executive Steward at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. This role supports the Stewarding Department, assisting in managing non-food production areas, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating inventory of banqueting items.

You will help lead the team and ensure efficient kitchen operations during high-volume events. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of supervisory experience in F&B or venue settings, knowledge of food safety, and strong

Qualifications

• 1+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a food and beverage, hotel, or venue-based environment.
• Experience in stewarding or kitchen utility preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards; familiarity with Health Department requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to support a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Stewarding Department staff to ensure effective and efficient support of overall culinary and food & beverage operations.
• Maintain health, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards throughout Stewarding areas.
• Support inventory control, storage, and distribution of supplies; assist in monitoring kitchen and Stewarding equipment for proper maintenance.
• Actively participate in training, scheduling, and supervising Stewarding team members.
• Contribute to the goal of 100% customer satisfaction by supporting culinary operations and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and service excellence.
