Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager for the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort and Embassy Suites properties. The role oversees banquet teams, coordinates multi-property events, and ensures precise event execution with strong attention to SOPs and billing accuracy.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of supervisory banquet experience, strong leadership, and the ability to adapt to high-pressure events while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of supervisor or lead experience in hospitality banquet operations.
• Dual-property or hotel banquet management experience preferred.
• Ability to process basic banquet math, review event billing, and manage charges.
• Clear verbal and written communication with guests, vendors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising and directing Banquet associates across dual-property operations.
• Oversee daily on-the-floor operations, setups, F&B preparation and service per SOPs and BEOs.
• Meet with event hosts on-site to review BEOs and accommodate last-minute changes.
• Verify banquet checks, obtain client signatures, and process charges accurately.
• Assist in payroll and service charge calculations for submission to Accounting.
• Maintain equipment, sanitation, and maintenance across banquet spaces.
• Support flexible scheduling for high-volume periods and weekend events.
• Step in to assist team members with setup, service, or breakdown as needed.
