Job summary

The Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club, managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts in Virginia Beach, seeks a dedicated banquet server to deliver exceptional guest experiences at functions. You will lead banquet service during events, verify BEO details, coordinate with kitchen and catering staff, and ensure proper setup, service, and breakdown while keeping public areas tidy.

Strong hotel operations knowledge and excellent verbal and written communication are preferred; ability to work under tight deadlines

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Superior communication to guests and management.
• Knowledge of hotel operations and service standards.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication, adaptable to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead banquet team to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Review BEOs for accuracy and follow directions.
• Coordinate with banquet staff on setup, changes, and timing.
• Serve as banquet server during events, including greeting and service.
• Inspect banquet areas and ensure cleanliness and equipment are returned.
• Recap banquet checks with Night Audit at end of day.
• Know the menu items and ingredients to explain to guests.
• Attend work as required and perform other duties.
