Job summary

The Westin Chattanooga is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to oversee the banquet operation on shift, guiding servers, bartenders, and housemen to deliver flawless events with guest-focused service.

You will coach staff in real time, coordinate event setup, service and breakdown, and ensure accurate counts and billing while maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent communication with guests, staff and management.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with Excel and hospitality software is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises setup and breakdown of events, directing staff during shift.
• Captains events, coordinating servers, bartenders and housemen.
• Manages guest counts, billing and guest interactions with professionalism.
• Ensures cleanliness, presentation and safety standards throughout shifts.
• Coaches staff in real-time and communicates with the Director of Banquets as needed.
• Maintains uniform, equipment and space readiness for site visits.
