Job summary

Waterford Hotel Group is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee all banquet and event operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and flawless event execution. This hands-on leadership role manages staff, coordinates with Sales, Catering, Culinary and Operations, and ensures spaces are guest-ready while controlling costs.

The ideal candidate has prior banquet or event management experience in hospitality, strong leadership and guest-service skills, and the ability to handle multiple events

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, catering, or event management experience (hotel or hospitality preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent guest service and communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Ability to lead teams effectively while working independently when needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Physical stamina, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting as required.
• Ability to follow directions and execute events to precise standards.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, and motivate banquet staff to ensure consistent service excellence.
• Review, understand, and execute events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Catering, Culinary, and Hotel Operations teams.
• Ensure meeting and function rooms are properly set, maintained, and guest-ready.
• Monitor staffing levels and labor costs while meeting service standards.
• Manage and order banquet supplies, equipment, and inventory.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Step into service roles as needed to support staff and maintain event flow.

Banquet Manager
