Job summary

Sodexo at University of Cincinnati Main Campus is seeking a Banquet Porter to provide on-floor leadership during banquets and catered events. You will coordinate service, direct Banquet Servers and Porters, and ensure delivery according to BEOs and timelines.

The role requires 1–3 years in banquet or food and beverage service, a High School diploma or equivalent, and relevant alcohol-service certifications. Flexible shifts, part-time, with benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years banquet, catering, or food and beverage experience.
• Prior lead or captain experience in banquet/event environment preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per local/state regulations.
• Must hold TIPS/TEAM or equivalent alcohol-service certification; food handler certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-floor leadership during banquet events by coordinating service and directing staff.
• Serve as primary service lead for assigned events and ensure adherence to BEOs, timelines and standards.
• Participate in event setup, service and breakdown with focus on guest satisfaction and communication.
• Collaborate with Banquet Supervisor, culinary team and service staff to ensure smooth execution.
