Job summary

The Farnam Hotel in Omaha, NE is seeking a Cook I to join our kitchen team. This full-time role requires preparing items per recipes and standards, while ensuring a safe, sanitary work environment. You will assist in ordering, station prep, and collaborating with hotel departments to support Food & Beverage initiatives.

Pay is $21.00/hour with a mid-shift schedule. Candidates should have a High School diploma and familiarity with major hotel brands' standards; flexibility for varied shifts is

Qualifications

• High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and as specified on guest check and following company and brand standards.
• Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
• Visually inspect, select, and use only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items.
• Check and control the proper storage of product and check portion control, to maintain quality.
• Keep refrigeration, equipment, and storage areas in clean, working condition to comply with health regulations.
• Be aware of sanitation standards and operate all kitchen equipment safely.
• Be available to help other departments in emergency situations.
