Waldorf Astoria is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to join our team in Chicago's Gold Coast!

The hotel features 215 rooms, over 5,000 sq ft of meeting space, and 4 F&B outlets including a restaurant, 2 bars, and in-room dining.

Shift: Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: $25.90/hour, based on experience and location.

Union Position: This role is part of the Local 1 Union, requiring full availability. Schedule and hours vary based on seniority and business needs.

What will I be doing?

A Houseman supports Food and Beverage operations by maintaining cleanliness and equipment, and assisting with set-ups and other tasks. Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning banquet, meeting, and conference areas to meet standards
• Cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, carpet shampooing, floor waxing, trash removal, stock management, and reporting maintenance issues
• Ensuring equipment works properly and reporting defects
• Presenting a professional image to guests and team members
• Assisting back-of-house team as needed
• Lifting and pushing banquet equipment
• Managing setup for Food and Beverage functions efficiently
• Complying with safety and security regulations
• Attending hotel training sessions
