Job summary

Pendry, part of Montage Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Banquet Houseperson to transform events into memorable experiences. You’ll handle daily setup and break-down, manage clean and ready meeting rooms, and ensure careful handling of equipment to meet the highest standards.

This role requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. You’ll collaborate with a luxury hotel team, deliver WOW moments, and enjoy benefits such as meals, uniforms, hotel discounts, healthcare, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Daily set up and break-down of banquet events in a safe and efficient manner.
• Own the full-cycle process of cleaning and setting of meeting rooms and banquet functions.
• Basic communication skills are required.
• Experience in luxury hotel or banquet operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and break-down of banquet events in a safe and efficient manner
• Own the full-cycle process of cleaning and setting of meeting rooms and banquet functions
• Vacuum floors, cleaning of walls, windows, and mirrors; proper care, movement, and storage of equipment
• Properly controlling and storing meeting room supplies, such as linens, pads, pens/pencils, and meeting amenities
• Assist in servicing meeting rooms by removing trash, clearing dirty plates, cups, glasses, and/or linens; straightening chairs; and replenishing water
• Deliver on guest’s expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

Your Journey

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for Banquet Houseperson is $17.75 per hour.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Pendry reasonably expects to pay for the position.
