Job summary

The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel is seeking a dedicated banquet server to set up and service food and beverages for events with friendly, courteous, and professional conduct.

You will follow the Banquet Event Order, prepare banquet tables, serve guests, and ensure beverages are topped up while maintaining a clean, well-organized space between functions. This full-time role includes $17.00 per hour plus service fees.

Qualifications

• 3+ years banquet server experience preferred.
• Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required.
• Food Handlers Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness.
• Thoughtfully prepare banquet tables with the perfect setup as detailed in the Banquet Event Order (BEO) to create an inviting and memorable experience.
• Deliver guests' food and beverage with enthusiasm, regularly revisit table to ensure beverages are filled and ensure guest satisfaction.
• After each function, reset the banquet room as specified in the BEO or per given instructions to ensure it's perfectly prepared for the next event.
• Ensure the banquet facilities are impeccably organized after each event by replenishing and properly storing all condiments and supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and optimal functionality of all banquet facilities.

Compensation

$17.00/ Hour + Service fees

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness

Physical Demands

• Kneel, stoop, grasp, lift and carry, and transport 50 – 75lbs
• Manual dexterity of hands to use food and beverage equipment
• Work most of the shift standing and moving about in the meeting spaces and kitchen areas

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 3 year Banquet Server experience in a similar role, size of operation preferred
• Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required
• Food Handlers Certification required
• 3 years banquet service experience
