Job summary

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina is seeking a Banquet Manager to ensure events meet expectations. The role coordinates food and beverage delivery, guides multi-department collaboration, and supervises banquet staff to deliver high-quality dining experiences.

You’ll engage guests to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction throughout events. The position requires supervisory F&B experience, TIPS certification, and a strong knowledge of event operations in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food service practices and procedures.
• Working knowledge of all audio-visual equipment.
• Perform with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Interact with guests effectively and in a courteous, professional manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Make customers feel important, valued and appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and upsell products and services as appropriate.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure banquet success.
• Supervise banquet staff and review schedule and payroll details.
• Oversee setup, cleanliness, and compliance with department standards.
• Total charges for group functions and handle payments.
• Maintain knowledge of health, safety and alcohol regulations.
