Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Raleigh, NC seeks an attentive Banquet Server to assist with setup, food and beverage service, and breakdown of event spaces in accordance with high hotel standards.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, attending pre-event briefings, replenishing beverages, and ensuring room readiness for subsequent functions while adhering to safety policies and dress code requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of English to understand inquiries and give instructions.
• Ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions for safe application.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linens, service ware and glassware per Banquet Event Order and guidance from Banquet Captain.
• Attend stand-up meetings before events to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests cheerfully and courteously.
• Serve food and/or beverages per Banquet Captain's instructions to ensure consistency.
• Bus dishes as courses finish and replenish beverages as needed.
• Reset banquet rooms after events and prepare for the next function.
• Complete side work and maintain hygiene and safety standards.
