Job summary

LEGENDS in New York City seeks a Banquet/Catering Houseperson to support catering events by setting up and breaking down event spaces and equipment. You will help keep areas clean, organized, and properly stocked, ensuring a smooth guest experience throughout service.

The role requires physical stamina, flexibility to work mornings/evenings/weekends, and teamwork to maintain high standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment. On-site location at Well& by Durst—151, NYC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in hospitality, catering, banquet operations, or related field preferred.
• OSHA, ServSafe, or comparable hospitality safety certification preferred.
• Experience working in high-volume hospitality environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event space setup, furniture placement, and equipment distribution according to event requirements.
• Move, arrange, and dismantle tables, chairs, staging, bars, and other furnishings.
• Manage linen inventory, cleaning, and storage of service items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked event spaces during service.
• Retrieve and deliver supplies and materials as needed.
• Assist with event breakdown and return equipment to storage areas.
