Job summary

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Grand Island is seeking Banquet/Event Staff to greet guests and ensure a superior dining and meeting experience. You will assist with banquet setup, table and equipment arrangement, and friendly service at events.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the sales team, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering high-quality guest interactions. Flexible scheduling and a professional appearance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous serving experience preferred; excellent oral communication and positive interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the start of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
• Prepare rooms for use; adjust lights, sound, and temperature before guests arrive.
• Communicate with Director of Sales for any special needs and keep events on time.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all banquet spaces.
