Job summary

Roberts Resorts & Communities seeks an Activities Support Staff member to help coordinate events and support the kitchen team. You will assist with a variety of activities from concerts to trivia nights, while maintaining safety and quality in food preparation and service.

The role requires flexible availability across days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with strong teamwork, math, and communication skills. Training in food handling and alcohol service may be required.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including days/evenings/nights and occasional weekends.
• Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation.
• Strong math, measurement and portion control skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Arizona Safe Food Handler Certificate and Title 4 Alcohol Certification (or within 20 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Support events within the activities department (concerts, dances, happy hours, trivia nights, luncheons, vendor shows, and more).
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning tasks; help ensure timely service for residents.
• Complete prep list tasks as directed by the Head Chef or kitchen manager.
• Label, stock and inventory ingredients; coordinate with staff to order supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and work area.
• Cross-train to fill other roles (cashier, bar back, service) as needed for events.
