Job summary

The Summit Hotel Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee all banquet events, from weddings to galas and conferences, to ensure client satisfaction and flawless execution.

This role collaborates with clients, department leadership, sales, and culinary teams, manages staff, and handles event budgets while ensuring room setup and food and beverage service meet the property’s standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in event management, hospitality, or food and beverage service.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
• Experience with budget management and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Check server’s and house person’s BEOs to ensure information accuracy.
• Check room setup to ensure BEO directions are followed and public areas are tidy.
• Communicate with group representatives and staff to manage changes during events.
• Prepare and post checks, and ensure proper documentation and sign-off.
• Organize staff duties and ensure banquet area is ready for guest arrival.
