Job summary

Valor Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Captain at The Summit Hotel Cincinnati to supervise banquet staff, oversee setup and breakdown, and ensure guest satisfaction during events.

The role requires reading and speaking English, the ability to lift 20–40 lbs, and standing for extended periods. You will coordinate with the Culinary and Banquet teams to deliver exceptional service and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift 20–40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff during functions and oversee setup and breakdown.
• Ensure that BEOs are followed and room setup is accurate.
• Coordinate with group representatives and communicate changes during events.
• Post checks and ensure correct charges and sign-off with clients.
• Prepare areas for events and ensure equipment is returned to storage.
