Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is hiring a Banquet Setup Associate to prepare event spaces with precision and care. You’ll set up banquet rooms, breaks, audio‑visual gear, and related supplies, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible long hours sometimes required, including weekends and holidays.
• Needs to be a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area on a minute’s notice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre‑function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.

We are inviting you to apply for the role of Set-up Associate. In this position, you will work behind the scenes bringing events of all sizes to life! You’ll be setting the stage, literally, for everything from elegant weddings to casual business meetings to massive conventions, helping transform empty ballrooms into unforgettable experiences as you set up and break down a variety of events – as no two days are the same! Work closely with the set-up crew, event service staff, and AV team to meet event deadlines and watch as an empty space transforms due to perfectly placed furniture and dedicated hard work.

We are looking for candidates with prior experience working in a convention center or large hotel (over 500-room property). Must be able to stack, push, and move banquet equipment throughout the Convention Center. Must have weekend and evening shift availability.
