Job summary

Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort is seeking a dedicated Banquet Setup Houseperson to ensure events run smoothly with precision and professionalism. You will set up spaces per the Banquet Event Order, tear down rooms, and maintain equipment and cleanliness throughout functions.

Responsibilities include assisting banquet staff, providing exceptional guest service, and upholding health and sanitation standards. Weekend and holiday availability is required within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s certification required or obtainable within six months.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Patient, customer-oriented approach with friendly attitude.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Set up venues per client instructions in the BEO for events.
• Tear down and reset meeting and event rooms after functions.
• Care for and move equipment like tables, lecterns, and dance floors.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness before/after events.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients during functions.
• Assist with chair alignment, table linen changes, and restocking materials.
• Collaborate with banquet staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines; adhere to restaurant policies.
• Able to work weekends and holidays; maintain hospitable service atmosphere.
