Job summary

Downtown Evansville Inc. in Evansville, IN seeks a banquet setup associate to support daily event operations indoors. You will set up tables, chairs, buffet tables, and AV equipment, and keep meeting rooms tidy and stocked for events.

Must be able to stand/walk for long periods, work varied hours including weekends/holidays, and follow safety policies. Local benefits include parking, on-the-job training, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily work assignments.
• Set up and remove tables, chairs, and other equipment for meetings and events.
• Set up and remove audio-visual equipment as specified on the Banquet Event Order.
• Set up and remove buffet tables and other food serving tables including portable bars.
• Vacuum meeting rooms and maintain storage areas.
• Maintain stock of meeting room supplies and report needs to supervisors.
• Assist banquet staff with kitchen setup for chafers and buffets.
• Ensure corridors and doors are clean and free of dirt and fingerprints.
• Remove trash and ensure carts are clean at end of shift.
• Report lighting needs to supervisor and store all equipment.
