Job summary

Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a proactive Banquet Houseperson to set up and break down event spaces, ensuring every room is perfectly arranged for weddings, meetings, and social functions. You'll work with banquet leaders to deliver flawless setups and responsive service.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, physically capable of lifting 100+ pounds, and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

One year of experience in mid-high-volume banquet or upscale hotel/restaurant.
Ability to lift and move 100+ pounds repetitively throughout shift.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Execute room setups and breakdowns per BEOs, including tables, chairs, staging and decor.
Place furniture and equipment safely for weddings, meetings and social events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in banquet and storage areas.
Inspect event spaces before, during and after functions.
Assist with light maintenance and report issues to leadership.
Collaborate with banquet captains, servers, kitchen, AV and housekeeping.
Restock banquet supplies and communicate inventory needs.
