Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a banquet staff member to assist the banquet department with coordination and service delivery of food and beverage experiences.

You will set up service areas, maintain Marriott standards, handle guest requests, and work with captains and managers; the role requires flexibility to work in a 24-hour operation and lift up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• No experience required; hospitality/customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables with china, silverware, and service equipment per EO and break down banquet rooms.
• Maintain standards of quality and service per Marcus Hotels & Resorts and Marriott.
• Prepare work areas such as coffee and bread stations prior to functions.
• Serve food and beverages according to standards.
• Handle guest requests or coordinate assistance with supervisors.
• Communicate with captains, supervisors and managers.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas.
• Promote guest/associate rapport by responding promptly and courteously.
• Attend scheduled departmental meetings and trainings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
