Embassy Suites by Hilton in Laredo, TX is seeking a Seasonal Banquet Server to set up banquet rooms and serve food and beverages to guests with a focus on quality and hospitality.

The role requires flexibility due to 24/7 hotel operations, with varying shifts. Candidates should be able to lift up to 30 lbs, follow safety procedures, and provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of liquor regulations for serving minors and intoxicated guests.
• Holder of a current Food Handler Card.
• Basic knowledge of food/beverage preparations and etiquette.
• Understand proper table settings and service ware.
• Basic English for customer inquiries and instructions.
• Ability to follow product labeling instructions.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Operate basic beverage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room per Banquet Event Order and guidance.
• Attend pre-event standup meetings for function specifics.
• Greet guests and respond to requests professionally.
• Serve food and/or beverages as directed by Banquet Captain.
• Bus dishes and replenish beverages as guests finish courses.
• Reset banquet rooms after events and prepare for next function.
• Stock supplies and perform side duties as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety procedures.
• Present a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times.
• Assist other banquet staff as needed.
