Job summary

The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa on Alabama’s Gulf Coast is seeking a Culinary Supervisor to lead our Culinary Department. You will provide positive leadership, train kitchen staff, and ensure proper menu preparation and safety standards.

You will maintain high quality, inspect all items, manage production flow for timely service, oversee food safety compliance, and support menu maintenance, equipment care, and cross‑department collaboration to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a culinary team and training kitchen staff.
• Strong focus on food safety, quality control, and health regulations.
• Ability to manage production flow and cost controls.
• Knowledge of menu specifications and recipe writing.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise kitchen staff in menu prep, equipment use, and safety.
• Inspect products for quality and consistency before service.
• Coordinate timely service and maintain production flow.
• Ensure proper food receiving, storage, labeling, and dating.
• Lead daily taste panels and delegate tasks to staff.
• Maintain menu specs, recipes, and production forecasts.
• Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good condition.
• Foster positive relationships across the department.
