Job summary

Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta seeks a Banquet Cook 1 to join our luxury team. You will prepare all items per BEOs, follow SOPs, maintain quality, manage portion control, and work with high-volume events in a premier hotel setting near Truist Park.

This role requires 6 months to 3 years of culinary experience and a solid understanding of batch cooking, food safety, and accurate measurements. We value teamwork, reliability, and a calm, guest-focused approach to service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 3 years of culinary experience, preferably in high-volume upscale hotel banquet operation.
• Familiar with batch and quantity cooking.
• Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
• Basic math skills to understand recipes and measurements.
• Strong eye/hand coordination for kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all items on BEOs or cover sheets according to standard procedure or supervisor instruction.
• Prepare all items on prep list following standard procedure or supervisor instruction.
• Maintain high quality by inspecting food products on prep list and service line.
• Check portion control, weights and counts prior to function.
• Follow SOP for 30-minute cooking, maintain times and temperatures.
• Store items properly and rotate perishables per standards.
• Collaborate with other cooks for events or special meals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary leadership.
