Qualifications

• Experience in cooking or food preparation preferred.
• Banquet, catering, hotel, or high-volume kitchen experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and instructions accurately.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work under time pressure.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-driven hours.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for banquet events according to recipes and timelines.
• Complete food preparation in line with event orders and standards.
• Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, desserts, and other banquet items.
• Maintain mise en place and ensure stations are ready for service.
• Work with banquet chefs to ensure timely service and quality.
• Label, date, store, and rotate food using FIFO practices.
• Monitor temperatures and follow safe handling, sanitation procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
• Assist with setup, replenishment, and breakdown of banquet stations.
• Collaborate with banquet service, culinary, and stewarding teams for smooth events.
• Support with leftovers handling and waste disposal per procedures.
