Job summary

Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, WI is seeking a Banquet Cook to prepare hot and cold items for banquet events, following BEOs and recipe standards. You will support large-scale event production, ensuring quality and timely service in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires 1 year of cooking experience, strong knife skills, and the ability to read banquet orders. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected to match event schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience required.
• Ability to read and execute banquet event orders (BEOs) accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items for banquet events according to function sheets and BEO specifications.
• Review and confirm daily banquet production needs with the Chef or Sous Chef.
• Execute food preparation tasks including cutting, slicing, dicing, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Organize and prioritize banquet food production to ensure timely event execution.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and dating to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines for banquet service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including tables, shelving, and refrigeration units.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ensuring all required food items are prepared and available for events.
• Communicate with culinary leadership regarding station status and production needs.
• Assist with general kitchen duties and support other culinary areas as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operational procedures.
• Complete closing duties and ensure proper kitchen reset after service.
