Job summary

Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a full-time Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The role focuses on preparing high-quality foods for weddings, meetings, conferences, and other banquet events in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with experienced chefs, maintain mise en place, follow recipes, and ensure safety, quality, and timely service. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred.
• Banquet, catering, hotel or high-volume kitchen experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook banquet foods according to recipes, production sheets, portion standards, and quality expectations.
• Complete food prep in accordance with banquet event orders and established timelines.
• Prepare proteins, vegetables, starches, sauces, soups, appetizers, desserts, and other banquet menu items as assigned.
• Assist with high-volume food production while maintaining consistency, quality, and proper presentation.
• Maintain mise en place and ensure all assigned stations are fully prepared for service.
• Work closely with banquet chefs and kitchen leadership to ensure food is ready for service at the scheduled time.
• Follow recipes, standardized procedures, and plating or presentation specifications.
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products using FIFO practices.
