Job summary

Rivers Casino Philadelphia is seeking a Cook I to assist in the preparation of all food items according to recipes and daily prep sheets. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, maintain proper sanitation, and ensure portion control and quality standards.

Key expectations include teamwork, reliable attendance for flexible shifts including weekends/holidays, and adherence to safety procedures. The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to operate kitchen

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One or more years of experience in kitchen or food preparation preferred.
Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Responsibilities

Prepares specific amount of food per daily prep sheets.
Washes, peels, dices and chops foods per Chef’s requirements.
Complies with portion sizes, quality standards, and recipes.
Operates kitchen equipment safely and sanitarily.
Maintains sanitation of utensils, equipment and counters.
Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking.
Operates utensils and equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food products.
Ensures proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking and temperature controls.
Maintains a clean uniform and professional demeanor.
Performs other duties as assigned.
