Job summary

Rio Las Vegas is seeking a Banquet Cook to prepare banquet menus, uphold quality standards, and ensure timely service for events. You will handle multiple stations, maintain sanitation, and follow recipes to meet guest expectations.

The role requires ability to work independently, be a team player, and attend training sessions. Prior banquet kitchen experience is preferred. This is an on-site, full-time position with a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• Ability to prepare hot and cold menu items.
• Able to work on all station stations (fry, sauté, broil, saucier).
• Maintain clean, organized, sanitized work areas and equipment.
• Follow safety/health department standards.
• Communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare banquet food following recipes and banquet chef team specs.
• Coordinate and organize functions per BEO.
• Complete BEO tasks promptly within deadlines.
• Expedite preparation work as needed.
• Assess taste, appearance and aroma before service.
• Maintain inventory and par levels; manage prep lists.
