Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee is seeking an energetic line cook to join our renowned culinary team. You will prepare high-quality food for banquets, weddings, meetings, and events, upholding our luxury standards and presentation.

With 1–2 years of hotel or high-volume kitchen experience, you will follow recipes, assist with inventory, and collaborate with banquet and culinary teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cooking experience in hotel, banquet, restaurant, catering or high-volume food service environment preferred.
• Understanding of food handling, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
• Capable of preparing and plating large volumes of food efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute high-quality food production for banquets, weddings, meetings, and events while upholding luxury standards.
• Follow recipes, production sheets, and chef instructions to ensure consistent quality and portions for large-scale events.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen per health, safety and company standards.
• Collaborate with culinary and banquet teams to ensure timely prep, setup, and service for seamless events.
• Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and proper storage in a fast-paced setting.
