The Country Club of York is seeking a dependable Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This role prepares and executes exceptional dining experiences for weddings, member events, galas, and private functions in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates enjoy collaborating with a culinary team, take pride in quality food, and can work evenings, weekends, and holidays while maintaining high standards of safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Banquet, restaurant, catering, hotel, or food service experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate banquet menu items according to Club standards.
• Assist with banquet prep, production, and event execution.
• Set up and participate in banquet plating lines while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Prepare hors d'oeuvres, buffets, action stations, and special event menus.
• Review banquet event orders (BEOs), recipes, and production sheets to ensure accurate execution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
• Support overall kitchen operations as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• ServSafe certification is a plus
